Delhi Capitals Ready for WPL 2025
Delhi Capitals’ performance has been excellent in the first two seasons of the league, the team did reach the finals but could not win the trophy both times.
In the upcoming season, the team would like to capture the trophy by playing brilliantly. The team is currently preparing for the upcoming season in the pre-season camp in Pune. Meanwhile, star batsman Jemima Rodriguez talked about the team’s preparations.
“We as a team have been very good and consistent in the last two seasons. Of course, it is a final, which I am sure we will get through, and get our hands on the trophy, but we are doing the right things. There are some days when you cannot control the result. We are putting in our best efforts as a DC unit and will keep playing to win,”

Jemimah Rodrigues on Team Preparations
My preparation is very simple. Whatever I will face in the match, I will try to practice those situations, whether it is playing aggressively or handling the innings from one end. There is also a lot of power-hitting in it as it is T20. So I use heavier balls which help me swing my bat faster and get more power.”
Talking about her bond with Delhi Capitals captain Meg Lanning, Jemima said,
“I remember before the WPL, we played Australia in the World Cup semi-final, and I saw her on the field. She is incredibly competitive with an aggressive mindset, she always tries to take the game forward and stay positive.
That approach made me doubt whether she would be the right fit, but when we finally spoke after the WPL started, I realised she is very humble and friendly. I felt great, and I realised she may not always express it, but on the field, her mindset is all about aggression and leading the team.
