For the match between India and Australia, both teams have announced the names of their players. However, the injury of a star Indian batsman ahead of the WTC final is a matter of concern for the Indian team.

The 70th match of IPL 2023 took place between RCB and Gujarat Titans. RCB faced defeat by 6 wickets in this match, resulting in their elimination from the playoff race. During the match, in the 15th over, Gujarat Titans batsman Vijay Shankar hit a long stroke. Virat Kohli caught the catch brilliantly while bowling, but during the process, he injured his knee and had to leave the ground. He did not return thereafter. RCB coach Sanjay Bangar said in the press conference that Kohli had a minor knee injury. According to him, the injury is not serious. Within the span of four days, Kohli has scored two centuries. Bangar mentioned that Kohli is a player who makes an excellent contribution to the team, both with his batting and fielding. He has been performing at his best, and his injury is not a concern for the time being.
