In the second match of the T20 World Cup, India won the toss and decided to bowl first. In this match, Sri Lanka scored 161 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs and challenged 162 runs for victory. India’s innings started and after three balls the rain came. So it took time to start the match. The target of the match was changed according to the Duckworth-Lewis rules. India was challenged to score 78 runs in 8 overs. India completed this challenge by losing 3 wickets in 6.3 overs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s Record-Breaking Innings

Yashasvi Jaiswal played an aggressive innings. Scored 30 runs in 15 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 3 fours. Yashasvi Jaiswal has created a record with these runs. Jaiswal became the first player in the world to complete 1000 runs in the year 2024.

He has also become the youngest batsman to score 1000 runs in a year. He has equaled the record of Virat and Dinesh Karthik. Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik did this at the age of 22. This record was recorded by Kohli in 2010 and Dinesh Karthik in 2007. Now at the age of 22, Yashasvi Jaiswal has achieved this feat
