Yograj Singh Praises BCCI for Retaining Senior Players and Highlights Their Role in Team Unity

Former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh expressed his opinion about the team selected for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He said that I support the BCCI and the selection committee. They have selected a balanced team.

While talking to ANI, Yograj Singh said,

The selection committee really deserves congratulations. I support the team that has been selected. After the continuous defeat of the team, many questions arise. In such situations, the selection committee faces immense pressure from the media and cricket fans to make several changes to the players.

He said, “I am in support of senior players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, they should not be dropped from the team. In the absence of senior players, the chances of the team falling apart increase a lot. Even though the Indian team has to face defeat in Australia. But the Indian team has also defeated them in two series. No other team has defeated Australia at home in two consecutive series.”

I want to congratulate the board and the think tank, the selectors, I appreciate their effort. He also recalled the era of Sourav Ganguly, when the team underwent a significant phase of transition.
