Zimbabwe won the 1st T20I match against Namibia by 33 runs. Batting first, Brian Bennett played a brilliant innings of 94 runs off just 51 balls, including 8 fours and 4 sixes. Tadiwanashe Marumani also built a good partnership – he scored 62 off 48 balls, giving a solid start.
In the second half, Zimbabwe put in good pressure towards the end – Ryan Burl and captain Sikandar Raza increased the lead rapidly in the last few overs. After losing the toss, Namibia decided to bowl first and tried to restrict Zimbabwe from getting a big score. However, Zimbabwe batted first and scored a strong total of 211/3. In reply, Namibia started well—Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton hit 38 runs in 24 balls, which helped Namibia recover from a slightly struggling position in the middle.
