Samad’s Centuries in Both Innings
Samad played match-saving batting for the team in difficult conditions in the first innings. In the second innings too, he stood at the wicket during the time of crisis. In the first innings, Samad scored 127 runs with the help of six fours and nine sixes in 117 balls. Based on this innings of Samad, Jammu and Kashmir scored 270 runs. Odisha took the lead of two runs by scoring 272 runs in their first innings.
Samad batted brilliantly in the second innings as well and scored an unbeaten 108 runs. This time in his innings, he scored runs at a strike rate of 100. Facing 108 balls, Samad hit six sixes and five fours. Jammu and Kashmir declared their second innings at 270 runs for the loss of seven wickets and gave Odisha a target of 272 runs.
