Abhishek Nair Likely to Join Team India Support Staff
Former Team India all-rounder and assistant coach of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Abhishek Nair, may join the support staff of new head coach Gautam Gambhir. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently appointed Gambhir as the head coach of Team India. BCCI Secretary Jai Shah announced this change, with the 42-year-old Gambhir replacing Rahul Dravid.

Coaching Staff Updates
With the appointment of Gambhir as head coach, the search for the rest of the coaching staff has intensified. Abhishek Nair, who has played three ODIs for India and currently serves as the assistant coach of KKR and head coach of Trinbago Knight Riders, is a strong candidate for the role of assistant coach of Team India. According to Cricbuzz, former fielding coach T. Dileep is expected to continue in his role.
Gautam Gambhir might take on the role of batting coach himself, although no final decision has been made regarding the bowling coach. The BCCI and Gambhir are considering Lakshmipathy Balaji and Vinay Kumar for the position, both of whom have previously worked with Gambhir at KKR.
