There has been another new twist in the 2024 World Cup. Afghanistan defeated New Zealand by 84 runs. This is Afghanistan’s first win over New Zealand in any format. Earlier, all 4 matches of ODI and T20 were in the name of New Zealand. On Saturday, New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 80 runs for Afghanistan. Gurbaz scored his ninth half-century in T20 international cricket. There was also an opening partnership of 103 runs between Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran. Captain Rashid Khan and Fazalhaq Farooqui performed brilliantly in bowling and took 4-4 wickets.
