Anshul Kamboj in Ranji Trophy: Fast bowler Anshul Kamboj has registered his name in history on Friday. Anshul has taken all 10 wickets in an innings while playing for Haryana in the Ranji Trophy. Anshul did this in a match against Kerala at Chaudhary Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Lahli.
Anshul is only the third bowler in the history of the Ranji Trophy to take 10 wickets in an innings. He destroyed Kerala’s batting and did not let the other bowlers take a single wicket. Anshul took 10 wickets for 49 runs in 30.1 overs. Kerala’s team could score only 291 runs in the first innings.

Before Anshul, Bengal’s Premangshu Chatterjee and Pradeep Sundaram took 10 wickets in an innings in the Ranji Trophy. Chatterjee did this in Jorhat against Assam in the year 1957. Pradeep had done this against Vidarbha in 1985. 39 years after that, Anshul has taken all 10 wickets in an innings in the Ranji Trophy.
Anshul is the fifth Indian to take 10 wickets in an innings in first-class cricket. Devashish Mohanty took all 10 wickets in an innings in the Duleep Trophy in 2001. Anil Kumble has also done this.
This is the best performance by a Haryana bowler in the Ranji Trophy. Before Anshul, this record was in the name of Joginder Sharma who took eight wickets in an innings against Vidarbha.
