Fixing Allegations Cast a Shadow on Sri Lanka’s Victory

ICC’s Charges Against Praveen Jayawickrama
The ICC in its report has said that Praveen Jayavikrama is charged under 2.4.4, 2.4.4, and 2.4.7. In this, Praveen Jayavikram was approached for fixing. He should immediately report the information to the Cricket Board or the ICC Anti-Corruption Committee. But he didn’t. What’s more, he hid the fact that he contacted other players. Also, deleting contacts and messages for corrupt activities, obstructed the investigation of the Anti-Corruption Committee. Now the ICC will take action against Praveen Jayavikrama as per Articles 1.7.4.1 and 1.81. Sri Lanka Cricket and ICC have agreed to this.
