The Indian Team after losing the toss, faced early trouble but was rescued by R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. Ashwin scored a vital century (113), while Jadeja contributed 86 runs. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal added 56 to India’s total, helping the team post 378 runs in the first innings. For Bangladesh, Hasan Mahmood was the standout bowler, taking 5 wickets.
Bumrah Shines as Bangladesh Falters
In response, Bangladesh’s batting collapsed under the pressure of Jasprit Bumrah’s fiery bowling. Bumrah claimed four wickets, and the visitors were bundled out for just 149 runs. Mohammad Siraj, Akash Deep, and Jadeja took two wickets each, giving India a massive lead.
