BANW vs INDW T20 Series: India Dominate in Bangladesh with Serie win by 5-0:

Indian women’s cricket team created history by defeating Bangladesh 5-0 in its home ground. Twenty-20 series was going on between India and Bangladesh. The last match of this series was played on Thursday. Under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur, India maintained its winning streak by defeating host Bangladesh for the fifth consecutive match. With this victory, visiting India registered a one-sided victory of 5-0.

In the final match, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and decided to bat first. India scored 156 runs for 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs based on the team innings of Memorial Honoree (33), Dayalan Hemlatha (37), Harmanpreet Kaur (30), and Richa Ghosh (28 not out). Chasing this challenge, host Bangladesh could score only 135 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 21 runs. This is good news for India because of the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup. The Women’s Twenty20 World Cup schedule has been announced by the ICC. The World Cup, the shortest format of cricket, will be played from October 3 to October 20. Bangladesh’s matches will be played in the capital Dhaka and Sylhet.

Ten teams have been divided into two groups for the Women’s Twenty20 World Cup. There are two groups A and B. South Africa and England are in the same group. Hosts Bangladesh and the second team to qualify for the World Cup will be in Group B. Each team will play four matches in the league round. The semi-final matches will be played on 17 and 18 October. The final match will be held in Dhaka on 20 October.
