Constas Apologizes for Clash with Bumrah During India-Australia Test Series

Constas Apologizes: During the recently played five-match Test series between India and Australia, there was a fierce dispute between Jasprit Bumrah and Sam Constas.

At the end of the first day of the last match played in Sydney, both of them clashed and the umpires had to intervene. Now 10-year-old Constas has accepted his mistake.

Dispute Between Bumrah and Constas

The day’s play was about to end and then Usman Khawaja, standing at the striker’s end, delayed a bit and then Bumrah questioned the umpire on this. Then Konstas, standing at the non-striker’s end, abused Bumrah and then Bumrah also replied to him.

There was a fierce argument between the two. After this, Bumrah dismissed Khawaja on the very next ball and then Bumrah immediately celebrated looking at Konstas.

Constas Takes Responsibility

Australia had prevented India from drawing the series by winning the Sydney Test match and won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after 10 years. A few days after this victory, Konstas spoke about the fight with Bumrah and said that he had made a mistake.

Talking to Triple M, Konstas said, “I was not too upset. Unfortunately, Usman Khawaja got out. He was trying to spoil some time. It was probably my mistake, but it happened. This is cricket. Credit goes to Bumrah. He took the wicket, but our team played brilliantly.”

Konstas had shown a lot of courage against Bumrah in this series. He attacked Bumrah and played strange shots.

Bumrah’s Performance in the Series

India may have lost the series, but the whole world saw Bumrah’s brilliance. Bumrah did not come on the field on the last day of the Sydney Test match because he was injured. Seeing this, the Australian team heaved a sigh of relief.

The Australian team’s batsmen themselves admitted that they heaved a sigh of relief not seeing Bumrah. Bumrah took a total of 31 wickets in five matches in this series. He was the highest wicket-taker in this series.
