A Journey of Dedication

During this long journey of 15 years, I had the opportunity to work with many good people. This includes my teammates, coaches, and staff. Without his help, I would not have been able to play cricket for so long. “They made the journey so much better,” said Alasdair Evans.

Alasdair Evans made his ODI debut against Canada in 2009. He made his debut against Bangladesh in 2012. He played 41 ODIs and 35 T20Is in his career and took 58 and 41 wickets respectively. He has taken five wickets twice in ODIs and T20Is. Alasdair Evans made his debut in 2009 in an ODI against Canada in Aberdeen and went on to win 116 caps for Scotland.

A Memorable Debut

One night I got a call from Coach Pete Standel. At that time, he got a chance to make his debut against Canada at Aberdeen Ground. Many players in the team were injured. So I was selected in playing 11. I never dreamed that I would play international cricket. “So when I got the call from the coach, I thought I was joking at first,” said Alasdair Evans. Evans is a great role model for young fast bowlers and will be missed in the dressing room forever, Scotland head coach Doug Watson said.
