Arrival of Teams for the Test Match
The host and guest teams reached the city on Tuesday for the India vs Bangladesh Test match to be held at Green Park Stadium from September 27. The players were taken to the hotel from the airport amid a three-tier security ring. Where the hotel staff and UP Cricket Association officials welcomed the players.
The host players were greeted by garlanding them with Rudraksha amidst the Ramadhun. At the same time, the guest Bangladesh players were welcomed by giving bouquets. Indian team coach Gautam Gambhir arrived first at the airport at 3 pm with cricketer Virat Kohli. After this, captain Rohit Sharma, opener batsman Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and Rishabh Pant landed at the airport by flight and from there reached the hotel with the local team manager.

Welcoming Ceremony
The main players of the Indian team reached the city in several phases. Whereas, most of the players came to the city after 5 pm on the same flight along with Bangladesh. Virat, Gill, Rohit Akshar, and Bangladeshi player Shakib Al Hasan did not disappoint the cricket lovers standing outside the hotel to get a glimpse of the cricketers. On reaching the hotel, the players of India and Bangladesh waved their hands and accepted the greetings of the fans.
The India vs Bangladesh Test match teams were welcomed with a welcome cake at the hotel. A cake in the shape of the World Cup trophy was made for the Indian team. Whereas, a cake on the Green Park theme was made for Bangladesh. After cutting it, the players went to their respective rooms. UPCA Venue Director Dr. Sanjay Kapoor, Hospitality Chairman Sanjeev Singh, and UPCA Treasurer Prem Manohar Gupta, who were present in the hotel, met Pant, Rohit, Virat, Gill along with many players of the host and guest team and welcomed them.
Practice Sessions Scheduled
On September 25, the visiting Bangladesh team will practice at the Green Park Stadium from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. The host players will sweat it out from 1:30 pm to 1:30 pm. In the first nets session to be held on September 26, from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, India will be preparing for their finals while Bangladesh will be preparing for their finals from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
