India C Gains the Upper Hand After Duleep Trophy Draw
The second phase of the Duleep Trophy 2024 was recently concluded. BCCI’s tough stance has seen better days for domestic cricket. Legendary players are seen playing in these tournaments. India B team is led by Abhimanyu Easwaran and India C team is led by Ruturaj Gaikwad. Both these teams won the first match of this tournament. So there is no doubt that the second match will be an even match. Anyway, this match is a draw. The toss fell in favor of India B and captain Abhimanyu Easwaran decided to bowl first. In the first innings, Ishan Kishan and Manav Suthar played a great knock. Ishan scored 111 runs. Manav Suthar also scored 82 runs. This innings allowed the team to reach 525 runs. India B stumbled while chasing these runs. But fought hard.

Skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran faced 286 balls and scored 157 not out. Narayan Jagdishan scored 70 runs. As the game progressed in the first innings until the third day, it was certain that there would be a draw. In this inning, Anshul Kamboj scored 69 runs and took 8 wickets. India B team’s innings ended with 332 runs. But India C had a lead of 193 runs. Playing before these runs, the India C team scored 128 runs for 4 wickets. So this match was a draw. But even though this match was a draw, Rituraj’s team got the advantage.

India C Leads the Points Table
Ruturaj’s C team won the first match and earned 6 points. Also, although the second match was drawn, there was a lead of 193 runs in the first innings. According to the table statistics, even if the match is drawn, the team leading in the first innings will get 3 points. Then the other team will get 1 point. Accordingly, the India C team has got 3 points and it has become 9 points. India B team has got 7 points after getting 1 point. Currently, Rituraj’s team is at the top position in the points table.
