Goa’s Darshan Misal and Mohit Redkar Set for IPL Auction – Excitement Builds

Sameer Naik from Panaji shares that IPL 2024 T20 cricket tournament revealed 333 cricketers for the auction. Goa’s Ranji captain Darshan Misal and all-rounder Mohit Redkar got auction spots.

Goa’s Suyyash Prabhudesai remains with Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Arjun Tendulkar stays with Mumbai Indians.

The IPL auction on December 19 in Dubai offers 77 slots among 10 teams, including 30 foreign and 47 Indian players. Darshan Misal and Mohit Redkar set their base price at 20 lakhs each.

Darshan Misal, 31, debuted in Ranji in 2012, amassing 2850 runs and 112 wickets in 64 matches. Last season, he secured 22 wickets and scored 436 runs in the Duleep Cup Cricket Tournament.

Mohit Redkar debuted in the 2021-22 Ranji season, securing 19 wickets and scoring 238 runs in seven matches. This season, he became the top wicket-taker with 20 wickets in five matches in the U-23 state tournament and represented the South Division in the Deodhar Cup, claiming 3 wickets.

Previously, Goan cricketers Swapneel Asnodkar, Shadab Jakati, and Suyesh Prabhudesai played for Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
