MCG crowd Heartfelt Tribute to Shane Warne: During the 4th match between India and Australia, an emotional tribute was paid to the late cricketer Shane Warne. His children as well as all the spectators present in the stadium paid tribute to him by raising their caps by imitating Warne’s iconic celebration at exactly 3:50 pm local time.
Australian spinner bowler Warne wore the Test cap number 350 during his brilliant Test cricket. Today his children as well as everyone present at the Melbourne Cricket Ground stadium paid tribute to him in his style and proved his importance even today.

During the fourth Test match, all the people present at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) paid a heartfelt tribute to former Australian cricketer and legendary spinner Shane Warne. In his memory, everyone copied his style. When the Test cap number 350 was remembered at exactly 3:50 pm local time. As soon as Shane Warne’s children Jackson Warne and Brooke Warne copied the style of raising their caps to pay tribute to their father. A section of the MCG crowd also joined the celebration by raising their caps in the same way.

Shane Warne, born in Victoria, was very familiar with the MCG. The local boy used to regularly attend the MCG in Melbourne. He also played for the Melbourne Stars at this very place. Warne tragically passed away at the age of 52 due to a heart attack while on holiday in Thailand in March 2022.

He took 708 wickets in 145 Test matches. Shane Warne is counted among the most successful bowlers in the world. He retired from international cricket in 2007. He was part of the team when Australia won the World Cup in 1999. By the time of tribute, Australia completed 200-2 in 58 overs. Like Constas and Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne also completed his half-century. Australia dominated the match by scoring 311 runs on Day 1.
