Clarity in Role Helps Performance, Says Smith
I want to play for England in all formats. Thatโs my main goal. Iโm looking at these matches as an opportunity to experiment and show my skills, I want to do that. It would be good to have a clear role for everyone to know that youโre going to be the number six batsman in the T20s, so you have a bit more clarity to practice and prepare,โ Yahoo Sports quoted Smith as saying.
โMy role in the Test team is clear, wicketkeeper and number seven batting. That makes it a lot easier to prepare. Iโm confident that I can go out there and perform in any role thatโs thrown at me,โ he added.
The third T20I will be played on Tuesday, January 28 at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot. England are trailing the five-match series 0-2.
