India and Bangladesh Prepare for T20I Series After Test Finale
The second and final match of the Test series between Team India and Bangladesh is currently being played at Kanpur. After that, the two teams will play a 3-match T20I series. The BCCI announced the Indian squad for the series on 28 September. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the Indian team. Mayank Yadav has been given a chance for the first time. Now 24 hours after BCCI, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced the squad for the T20I series.
Najmul Hussain Shanto will take over the captaincy of Bangladesh. Under the leadership of Shanto, Bangladesh made it to the Super 8 in the T20 World Cup 2024 tournament. All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan announced his retirement from T20I cricket along with Tests. Hence, Mehdi Hasan Miraj has been given a chance to replace Shakib. Mehdi is back in the T20I team after 1 year. Soumya Sarkar has been dropped after a disappointing performance in the T20I World Cup. Parvez Hussain Imon and Rakibul Hasan have both made a comeback.
