IND vs ENG 1st T20: India beat England in the first T20 match. After winning the toss, India decided to bowl first. This decision was taken by the captain Suryakumar Yadav considering the dew factor.

It has to be said that this decision tilted in favour of India. India restricted England to 132 runs in 20 overs. They also got a challenge of 133 runs for victory.

India’s Strong Start in T20 Series

India completed this challenge by losing 3 wickets in 12.5 overs. In this, Abhishek Sharma’s brilliant batting was heavy on England. Varun Chakraborty took 3 wickets in this match. While Arshdeep Singh, Hardik Pandya and Akshar Patel took 2 wickets each.

England’s Struggles and Jos Buttler’s Reaction

On the other hand, England’s two batsmen could not open the account either. Five batsmen were dismissed on single runs. Skipper Jos Buttler put up a solitary fight and scored 68 off 44 balls. Apart from this, not a single batsman could perform well. After the match result, Jos Buttler gave his opinion.

“We lost wickets early in this match. This was not expected. This wicket was good for batting. They got a bit of movement and we lost two wickets in quick succession. There was a fast-scoring field. There are really good players in that team.

The game we wanted to play and execute. But we weren’t able to do that against good bowlers today,” said England captain Jos Buttler. “We want to be aggressive, we want to be playable. We’re playing against a super-aggressive team, so that’s exciting. Jos Buttler added, “One has to understand every place and situation and play well.”
