The pitch was very challenging, but Team India played a quality game and deserved to win. The rain affected our plans slightly, but overall, India’s spinners were exceptional today. We played well throughout the tournament, but today we fell short. I am proud of the effort put in by everyone in the team,” said Buttler.

Rohit Sharma led India’s batting with a vital half-century, scoring 57 runs off 39 balls. Suryakumar Yadav contributed significantly with 47 runs, while Hardik Pandya added an explosive 23. Despite the challenging pitch conditions, India’s batsmen managed to set a formidable target. In their chase, England struggled from the outset. Harry Brook was the top scorer with 25 runs, but no other batsman could offer substantial resistance. India’s bowlers, especially the spinners, exploited the conditions effectively to secure a comprehensive win.
