Team India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant suffered an injury in the first Test match against New Zealand. Then when Pant came out to bat on the fourth day, he did a great feat. Pant’s leg, which underwent surgery the next day, was injured after being hit by a ball. So Pant had to go out of the field. Therefore, in Pant’s absence, Dhruv Jurel kept the wicket.

Pant has hit 3 sixes while batting in the second innings of the Bangalore Test. With this, Pant has become the sixth batsman to hit the most number of sixes for Team India in Tests. Pant has also rejected Kapil Dev. Dev had hit 61 sixes in 131 Tests. Pant has done this feat only in the 36th match. Virender Sehwag holds the record for most sixes in Tests by Team India. Sehwag has hit 90 sixes in 103 matches.
