The Hong Kong Cricket Sixes Tournament has been organized from November 1 to 3. This competition has been organized once again after 7 years. This competition was finally organized in 2017. This year, a total of 12 teams including Team India will participate in this tournament. A 7-member Indian team has been announced for this tournament. Robin Uthappa will take charge of the captaincy. Former all-rounders Kedar Jadhav and Stuart Binny have also been included. Manoj Tiwari has also been selected. Former spinner Shahbaz Nadeem and wicketkeeper batsman Srivats Goswami will also play for Team India. Bharat Chipli, who performed ‘first class’ in the domestic competition, has also been selected.

Tournament Format and Rules

The matches in the tournament will be of 5 overs each. A team will have 6 players each. Every player except wicket wicketkeeper has to bowl 1-1 over. Also if the bowler bowls a no-wide ball an extra 2 runs will be awarded. In international cricket, a wide and a no ball is awarded an extra 1 run.

In international cricket, a team is all out after losing 10 wickets, while 1 player returns unbeaten. In this tournament, after 5 wickets, the sixth batsman can play alone. But his partner will have one player on non-strike. Even if the sixth batsman scores a run, he will come back to the striker. As soon as the sixth batsman is out, the team will be all out.
