Explosive Partnership Seals the Game

  • Yashasvi Jaiswal: Scored an unbeaten 93 off 53 balls, hitting 2 sixes and 13 fours.
  • Shubman Gill: Contributed an unbeaten 58 off 39 balls, with 2 sixes and 6 fours.

Their powerful partnership ensured India reached the target with 28 balls to spare, scoring a total of 156 runs.

Zimbabwe’s Effort Falls Short

Earlier, Indian captain Shubman Gill won the toss and chose to field first. Zimbabwe started well with their openers registering a partnership of 63 runs for the first wicket. However, once the opening partnership was broken, Zimbabwe’s innings struggled to maintain momentum.

  • Sikandar Raza: Top-scored for Zimbabwe with 46 runs off 28 balls, including 3 sixes and 2 fours.
  • Wesley Madhevere: Added 25 runs.
