Impressive Debut Cut Short
In fact, Mayank Yadav caught everyone’s attention by taking 6 wickets in three T20 Internationals in his brilliant debut series against Bangladesh. But, BCCI ignored him in the team selected for South Africa, because he has been injured again.
According to a report in The Telegraph, Mayank Yadav has been ruled out of the team due to a back injury, which is different from the side strain that forced him out of the field after playing only 4 matches in IPL 2024. Earlier it was planned that he would play Ranji Trophy from the fourth or fifth round, but now these plans have also been canceled. Mayank also did not get a chance to join as a reserve fast bowler for the Australia tour.
