ICC Rankings: After securing a five-wicket victory against Australia in the 3-match ODI series. The Indian cricket team has asserted its supremacy across all three formats of the game. Following T20 and Test cricket, the Indian team has now claimed the number one spot in ODI cricket as well.

Indian Cricket Dominance: Team and Players Rise to the Top in ICC Rankings

Despite not clinching any ICC tournaments in the past decade, the Indian team has consistently displayed dominance in bilateral series. India has notably triumphed over Australia twice in Test series hosted on Australian soil, and they also beated T20 and ODI world champions England in their own backyard. Under the leadership of captain Rohit Sharma, Team India maintains its top ranking in Test and T20 cricket.

Having already topped the T20 and Test rankings, the Indian team has ascended to the pinnacle of the ICC ODI rankings after their victory in the first ODI against Australia in Mohali. This achievement has seen India surpass Pakistan, with 116 points to Pakistan’s 115. Australia occupies the third position with 111 points, having previously held the top spot during the Asia Cup.

India’s Dominance in Player Rankings:

In addition to excelling in team rankings, Indian players have also made their mark in individual rankings. Suryakumar Yadav holds the top spot in the T20 batting rankings, while Mohammed Siraj leads the ODI bowling rankings.

Ravichandran Ashwin ranks first in the Test bowling rankings, and Ravindra Jadeja stands at the summit among all-rounders. Shubman Gill is currently in second place in the ODI batting rankings and is a strong contender for the top spot. Hardik Pandya occupies the second position in the T20 all-rounder rankings.
