IPL 2025 Rules: Good news has come for cricket lovers at the beginning of the new year. IPL dates have been announced. Former cricketer Devjit Saikia was elected BCCI Secretary on Sunday. Prabhjeet Singh Bhatia was also elected as the treasurer of the BCCI. A meeting was held in Mumbai for this.

After this meeting, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla spoke to the media representatives. On this occasion, he gave important information about IPL 2025. Rajiv Shukla said that the IPL will start on 21 March and its final match will be played on 25 May. Rajiv Shukla has given this information to the media.

Strict Rules to Be Implemented in IPL 2025

The BCCI has decided that the rules of the International Cricket Council (ICC) code of conduct will be implemented for all players in IPL 2025.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has decided to increase strictness on the discipline of the players in the 2025 season. Therefore, now it will be mandatory to follow the rules of the Code of Conduct of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in the IPL. This important decision was taken at the Governing Council (GC) meeting held on Sunday.

Under this change, players will be punished according to the ICC guidelines on violation of rules of Levels 1, 2 and 3. An official of the Governing Council said,-

“ICC’s T20 International Sports Terms will now be implemented in the IPL. Earlier the league had its own separate rules, but now the code of conduct of the ICC will be fully implemented. ”

Discipline Issues in IPL 2024

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowler Harshit Rana was found guilty of two different levels of crimes during IPL 2024. These included flying-cum to Mayank Agarwal of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and celebrating differently against Delhi Capitals.

Rana was fined 160% of his match fees for these undisciplined antics and was also suspended for a match. Similarly, Virat Kohli (RCB), Tim David (Mi) and other players were also decorated for Level 1 crimes during the season.

Impact of ICC Rules on IPL 2025

With the implementation of the Code of Conduct of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in the IPL, strict punishment will be given for indiscipline. It is expected that the events that occurred in the previous season will be stopped. For example, Harshit Rana’s flying dispute can bring different results under the new rules as the decision on every event will be strictly taken.
