Coaching Staff Under Review

According to sources from Cricbuzz, the Gujarat Titans’ management is contemplating a complete overhaul of their coaching staff for the upcoming season. This could mean that Cricket Director Vikram Solanki, Head Coach Ashish Nehra, and former mentor and batting coach Gary Kirsten might not return next year. With Gary Kirsten already taking up the role of coach for the Pakistan team, the focus now shifts to Ashish Nehra, whose future with the team is uncertain.

Ownership and Retention Speculations

There are also whispers of a potential change in ownership for the Gujarat Titans. Speculation is rife that CVC Capitals could hand over the reins to either Torrent Pharma or Adani Group. However, this remains unconfirmed, and the official decision is expected by February.

In addition to the management and coaching changes, the BCCI is reportedly considering increasing the retention limit from four to six players, including the use of the Right to Match (RTM) cards. While there is ongoing debate about the mega auction, the board seems to be in favor of retaining it, despite some teams expressing concerns about losing their well-established squads.

As the new season draws closer, fans and team members alike are waiting with bated breath to see what changes the future holds for Gujarat Titans.
