Mayank Yadav Yadav Likely to Be Retained by Lucknow Super Giants
As the October 31 deadline approaches for teams to announce their retention list, it is almost certain that Mayank Yadav will be among the top three priority players for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Key players like captain KL Rahul, South Africa’s Quinton de Kock, West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran, and Australia’s Marcus Stoinis are also under serious consideration by the team. With head coach Justin Langer and advisor Zaheer Khan in charge, retaining Mayank Yadav, a talented 22-year-old fast bowler, seems a priority for LSG.
An IPL insider confirmed that the Lucknow franchise highly values Mayank Yadav. They have invested in his potential over the last two seasons and expect to retain him as one of their top three players. “LSG has no reason to let such a promising young player return to the auction pool,” said the insider. With his talent and performance, Mayank will benefit financially and continue to grow in the league.
While Mayank Yadav’s future with Lucknow looks secure, things are less clear for all-rounder Reddy at Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). SRH is likely to retain Pat Cummins, Travis Head, and Abhishek Sharma as their top three players. However, they could use the ‘Right to Match’ card to bring Reddy back into the squad. The upcoming weeks will reveal which teams finalize their core players for the next IPL season.
