Rest of India’s Strong Response
Earlier, Rest of India extended its innings by four wickets for 289 runs on the fourth day and scored 416 runs in the first innings. Abhimanyu Easwaran, who scored an unbeaten 151 on Wednesday, ended his innings at 191. He was caught out at fine leg by Tanush Kotian off Shams Mulani. However, after two centuries in the Duleep Trophy, this inning will strengthen his chances of touring Australia.
On the other hand, Dhruv Jurel (93) also played a good innings but missed out on a century. As soon as these two were out, the rest of India team was out after adding just 20 more runs. Shams Mulani and Tanush Kotian took three wickets each for Mumbai. Mohit Awasthi got two wickets. In this way, Mumbai got a lead of 121 runs based on the first innings.
Prithvi Shaw Shines, Mumbai Struggles
