South Africa Dominates West Indies in Women’s T20 World Cup

The third match of Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 was played between South Africa and West Indies. South African team completely dominated this match. After winning the toss, the South African team guessed the pitch and chose to chase runs. More runs were expected from the West Indies on this pitch. But spinner Nonkululeko Mlaba did not let his head rise. He gave away 29 runs in 4 overs and lost 4 wickets. Marijana Cap managed to get two wickets. So West Indies could reach 118 runs in 20 overs after losing 6 wickets.

The challenge seemed to be tough for South Africa. But the pair of Laura Volward and Tazmin Britts made the win easy. He shared the winning runs for the first wicket. Both scored their half-centuries. South Africa completed the challenge of 119 runs given by West Indies for victory in 18 overs

Captain Laura Volward scored 50 off 45 balls. She hit 7 fours in this inning. Tazmin Britts also completed his half-century in 45 balls. South Africa’s victory was confirmed due to the innings of these two. It was seen that the West Indies bowlers were exhausted before the innings of both of them. Fans were hoping for some miracle. But nothing like that happened. South African team won easily. Every match is important in the league round. Because each team has 4 matches on their way.
