World Cup 2023 Golden Ticket: Amitabh Bachchan received his first golden ticket from the BCCI. Now, Rajinikanth has also joined the list of special guests, as Jay Shah has presented him with a golden ticket for the World Cup 2023.
The World Cup 2023 is set to commence on October 5 and will be hosted by India. Almost all preparations for this mega tournament have been completed. A new initiative has been launched by the BCCI in connection with this tournament.
The BCCI is awarding golden tickets to India’s eminent stars. Previously, the BCCI had presented golden tickets to Amitabh Bachchan and Sachin Tendulkar.
Now, another name has been added to this prestigious list as BCCI Secretary Jai Shah bestowed a golden ticket upon superstar Rajinikanth.
BCCI shared a photo on its official Twitter account, showing BCCI Secretary Jai Shah presenting the golden ticket to superstar Rajinikanth. The caption accompanying the photo read,
“Honourable BCCI Secretary Jai Shah honoured Shri Rajinikanth by presenting him with a golden ticket. Rajinikanth is a legendary hero who has carved a special place for himself in the hearts of his fans.”
Prior to this, the renowned Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar were also honoured with this golden ticket. As part of this series, the BCCI may choose to honour more stalwarts with this special ticket. Fans of veteran cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni had expressed their desire for him to receive this golden ticket on social media, although no information has been disclosed in this regard yet.
With the World Cup 2023 just around the corner, there is little time remaining. The first match is scheduled for October 5th, with India playing its inaugural match against Australia in Chennai on October 8th.
