In the world of women’s ODI cricket, England’s Natalie Sciver-Brunt continues to shine brightly as a true superstar. Her recent phenomenal performance has solidified her status as one of the game’s leading ODI batters. During England’s third ICC Women’s Championship ODI victory over Sri Lanka, Sciver-Brunt achieved a remarkable feat by scoring a record-breaking century in just 66 balls, making it the fastest century ever by an England women’s player. Her innings of 120 runs from just 74 balls included an astonishing 18 fours and a six.
This incredible display of batting prowess has catapulted Nat Sciver-Brunt to new heights in the MRF Tyres ICC Women’s Player Rankings. With an impressive rating of 807, she now holds the third-highest ODI batting ranking among English women’s players in history. The only two players who have ever surpassed her current rating are Claire Taylor (814) and Sarah Taylor (812), both of whom achieved their rankings back in July 2009.
On the Sri Lankan side, Hasini Perera stood out as a bright spot, moving up 26 spots to 57th place in the rankings (325) after her performance in the series against England.

While there was minimal movement in the top ten rankings for bowlers, with Ayabonga Khaka climbing to seventh, several players in the top 20 rankings made significant gains. Meanwhile, Nida Dar moved up two spots to 19th place, and Nashra Sandhu advanced one spot to 15th place, representing Pakistan. Sadia Iqbal, another Pakistani player, made a notable jump of 13 spots to enter the top 50, thanks to her consecutive impressive performances against South Africa.
