SA vs IND – The two-match Test series between India and South Africa is currently underway in Mumbai. The first match is in progress, and South Africa has established a strong hold on the first day.
Winning the toss, South Africa opted to bowl, a decision justified by their bowlers. The African bowler faced a tough challenge from the legendary players.
Now, Team India must produce a miracle in the remaining day, as they fell short of reaching 200 runs on the first day, with the entire team returning to the tent at a mere run.
Sports enthusiasts predict that South Africa is poised to take a significant lead in the first innings. Rain interrupted the first day’s play. By the end of the day, Team India had scored 208 runs for 8 wickets.
KL Rahul remained unbeaten on 70, while Mohammad Siraj failed to open his account after facing 10 balls.
India’s innings
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma were expecting a big innings. But skipper Rohit Sharma was caught in the hands of Nandre Berger while playing a pool shot.
Rohit Sharma returns to the tent after scoring 5 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal also couldn’t do anything special after that. He was dismissed off the bowling of Nandre Berger after scoring 17 runs.
After that, Shubman Gill returned to the tent after scoring 2 runs. Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli tried to build a big score but failed. Clean bowled by Shreyas Rabada.
Virat Kohli then returned to the tent after scoring 38 runs. Despite getting life, he failed to convert it into a big innings.
Ravichandran Ashwin was dismissed for 8, while Shardul Thakur scored 24 runs. Jasprit Bumrah returned with just 1 run.
For South Africa, Kagiso Rabada took 5 wickets, Andre Berger took 2 wickets and Marco Janssen took 1 wicket. So there is a doubt as to how many runs will be reached on the two forts in the morning session. KL Rahul will have to fight alone.
