A Remarkable Career Comes to an End
He started playing international cricket in 2009. Now 15 years of his cricket career is over. But Martin Guptill was not in the New Zealand team for the last two years. Martin Guptill has represented New Zealand in all three formats.
He has broken many records in his 15-year cricket career. He scored a double-century in the 2015 ODI World Cup. He is also third in the list of highest run-scorers in ODIs for New Zealand.

On retirement, Martin Guptill said, ‘As a youngster, it was my dream to play for New Zealand. I played 367 matches for myself. I am proud of it. I will cherish these memories forever. These memories have been acquired by playing with legendary cricketers.
I thank all the teammates and the coaching staff. Special thanks to Mark O’Donnell.. because he coached me at the Under 19 level. He also got his guidance in the next career. Thanks also to my manager Leanne McGoldrick.. she always helped me behind the scenes. Their cooperation will not be forgotten. I am also thankful to them.
A Look at Guptill’s Remarkable Career Stats
Martin Guptill has clarified that he will play T20 league matches. But international cricket has come to a complete halt now. Martin has played 198 ODIs, 122 T20Is and 47 Tests for New Zealand. He scored 2586 runs in Tests with 3 centuries and 17 fifties.
He scored 7346 runs in ODIs at an average of 41.73. He scored 3531 runs at an average of 31.81 in T20 cricket. Interestingly, he has scored two T20 centuries.
