Playing for Southern Super Stars, Guptill rained sixes in the 9th over of the innings bowled by Christian of Manipal Tigers. The right-handed batsman showed his aggressive form from the very first ball and hit a six over mid-wicket. On the next ball of the over, Guptill hit a six towards fine-leg.

After hitting two consecutive sixes, Martin Guptill did not spare Christian and hit a six over deep mid-wicket on the third ball. On the fourth ball, Guptill hit a six towards long on. This time his shot had so much power that the ball broke the window of the commentary box. Guptill hit a four on the fifth ball and took two runs on the last ball. In this way, Guptill scored a total of 30 runs in Christian’s over.
