Mumbai’s Strong Comeback in Irani Cup 2024
After a poor start, the Mumbai team made a brilliant comeback and shone against the rest of India. Sarfaraz Khan scored a century after half-centuries from skipper Ajinkya Rahane and Shreyas Iyer. He completed his century in 149 balls. Irani Cup 2024 starts from Tuesday between Mumbai and Rest of India.
Rest of India captain Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and invited Ajinkya Rahane-led Mumbai to bat first. The match is being played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ikana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Rest of India made a good catch while bowling first. From the first session, Mukesh Kumar started to tunnel the Mumbai batting. He worked to send the trio of Prithvi Shaw, Ayush Mhatre, and Hardik Tamore to the tent.
