Nitish Kumar Reddy’s Historic Performance Against Bangladesh
Indian team’s young all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy achieved two big achievements in the second T20I against Bangladesh. He became the first Indian player to score more than 70 runs in the same match and take two wickets while bowling. So far no Indian has been able to do this in T20I. With this, he became the second young Indian player to win the Player of the Match title.
Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Arun Jaitley International Cricket Stadium in Delhi. After losing three wickets early, Nitish Reddy and Rinku Singh batted aggressively and laid the foundation for a big score. Rinku Singh and Nitish Kumar Reddy shared a 108-run partnership for the fourth wicket. During this, Nitish Reddy hit his first T20I half-century.
A Stellar Batting Display
Nitish Kumar Reddy played fast and scored 74 runs in 34 balls. During this, he hit four fours and 7 sixes. After showing his flair in batting, Nitish Kumar also did wonders in bowling. Nitish took two important wickets for 23 runs in four overs. Nitish Reddy created history with this excellent performance. He became the first Indian player to score more than 70 runs and take two wickets in the same T20I match.
Bowling Success and Historic Achievements
Nitish Kumar Reddy was also given the Player of the Match title for his excellent performance. Reddy became the second youngest Indian player to win this title. Nitish Kumar won the title at the age of 21 years 136 days. Nitish Reddy left Ravi Bishnoi behind. Rohit Sharma is at the top of this list. Rohit received his first Player of the Match award at the age of 20 years and 143 days
