Oman Squad for Asia Cup 2025: The Asia Cup 2025 is set to begin on September 9, with the final match scheduled for September 28. This year’s edition is special as, for the first time in the tournament’s history, 8 teams will participate instead of the usual 6. Out of these, 5 teams qualified directly through ICC rankings, one through the qualifiers, while two more were added due to the new rules.
Making history, Oman will participate in the Asia Cup for the first time. The team earned this spot after finishing as runner-up in the ACC Premier Cup 2024. This achievement has given Oman cricket a chance to showcase its talent on a much bigger stage.

The Oman Cricket Association has announced a 17-member team for the Asia Cup tournament. Jatinder Singh has been appointed to lead the Oman team. Jatinder has impressed the team management with his remarkable performance in the last year. Therefore, Jatinder will try to make an impression in his first season in this tournament.
The team management has given a chance to 4 new players in this 17-member team. These four include Sufian Yousuf, Zikriya Islam, Faisal Shah, and Nadeem Khan. These four will try to retain their place in the team by making the most of this opportunity.
Sufian Yousuf will be responsible for the wicketkeeping for Oman. Notably, Hammad Mirza has also been included in this team. Hammad had a strong innings against India in the 2024 ACC Emerging Asia Cup. Therefore, the Oman team will be hoping for a bigger innings from Hammad in this tournament.
