Pakistan Suffers Major Setback Ahead of Test Series Against Bangladesh
As the 2-match Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh is set to begin on August 21, Pakistan has faced a significant setback. All-rounder Amel Jamal has been ruled out of the series due to a back injury. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared this unfortunate news on social media, confirming that Jamal will miss the entire series.
Jamal had an impressive start to his Test career, taking 18 wickets in a 3-match series against Australia. However, since May, he has been struggling with his injury. Although there was hope that Jamal might recover in time for the second Test, he has now been officially ruled out, leaving Pakistan’s squad with just 14 players. The PCB has yet to announce a replacement for Jamal.
