Sri Lanka’s Batting Struggles
Nilakshi de Silva top-scored for Sri Lanka with 22 runs. Opener Vishmi Gunaratne contributed 20 runs. Apart from these two none could score more than 8 runs. The Sri Lankan batsmen were ineffective against the Pakistani bowlers. It would not be an understatement to say that the target of 117 runs for Sri Lanka was not challenging. But Pakistan’s bowlers did their best. Pakistan’s bowlers kept Sri Lanka four hands away from a winning challenge by striking at regular intervals and secured victory.

Captain Fatima Sana contributed a lot to this victory of Pakistan. Fatima exploded with batting and then bowling. Fatima first scored the highest 30 runs for Pakistan.
