This slip dropped Pakistan from second to second place in the World Test Championship rankings, reducing their percentage from 66.67 to 61.11.
As per ICC rules, Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct penalizes players with a five percent fine on their match fee for each over not bowled within the team’s specified time.
Additionally, clause 16.11.2 of the ICC World Test Championship Playing Conditions incurs one demerit point for each delayed over, resulting in point deductions.
Consequently, Pakistan’s total points in the World Test Championship decreased by two due to these penalties.
