RCB Beats Gujarat Giants by 6 Wickets in WPL 2025 Opener

WPL 2025: The Women’s Premier League 2025 started yesterday, 14 February. In the first match of this great tournament, Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Gujarat Giants by 6 wickets. All the fans enjoyed this match a lot.

WPL 2025: Gujarat Giants Set a Big Target

In the first Women’s Premier League match, the Gujarat Giants team batted first and scored 201 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. All the batsmen from the team performed very well. Opener Beth Mooney batted brilliantly and scored 56 runs with the help of eight fours. Beth Mooney handled one end very well and hit hard against the bowlers of Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Apart from Beth Mooney, team captain Ash Gardner also batted aggressively and played an explosive innings of 79* runs with the help of three fours and 8 skyscraper sixes in 37 balls. Richa Ghosh and Kanika Ahuja Shine in RCB’s Chase

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru team, which came out to chase the target, did not have a good start and captain Smriti Mandhana was out after scoring 9 runs. Not only this, Daniel Hodge also scored only 4 runs.

However, after two wickets fell early, Alyssa Perry and Raghavi Bisht made an important partnership of 86 runs for the third wicket. Alyssa Perry scored 57 runs in 34 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes in this match, while Raghavi Bisht contributed 25 runs.

Apart from Perry, wicketkeeper-batsman Richa Ghosh played a match-winning inning of 64* runs with explosive batting. During her innings, Richa Ghosh hit seven fours and four tremendous sixes.

Not only this, young player Kanika Ahuja also left her mark in the first match and contributed 30* runs with the help of four fours in 13 balls. Royal Challengers Bengaluru started the Women’s Premier League 2025 with a bang.
