Rinku Singh to Lead Uttar Pradesh in Vijay Hazare Trophy
He will be seen captaining a state-level tournament for the first time. He will replace Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the team, who captained Uttar Pradesh in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
According to ESPNcricinfo, Rinku said, “It was a great opportunity for me to lead Meerut Mavericks in the UPT20 League and I am happy that I was able to play my role well.” He said, “I enjoyed captaincy as it helped me learn many new things.”
Earlier, Meerut Mavericks won the UPT20 League title this year under the captaincy of Rinku Singh. In such a situation, he is very excited about his new role. If Rinku Singh performs well as a captain here, then he can also get the captaincy of KKR in the upcoming IPL season.

Rinku Singh’s New Captaincy Role and IPL Hopes
Kolkata Knight Riders have released their champion captain Shreyas Iyer this year, so the biggest question is who will lead the team in the upcoming season.
The team has an experienced player like Ajinkya Rahane along with Venkatesh Iyer worth 23.75 crores who is a contender for the captaincy, but Rinku Singh has a great opportunity to get his name included in this list by performing well in the domestic tournament.
Rinku’s overall List A statistics are quite impressive. He has scored 1899 runs in 52 innings at an average of 48.69, during which his strike rate has been 94.8. One century and 17 half-centuries have come from his bat in List A.
