India 4 Spinners for Champions Trophy: India announced a 15-member squad for their upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 and home three-match ODI series against England.

On this occasion, selection committee chairman Ajit Agarkar and captain Rohit Sharma attended the press conference.

Why Team India Chose Four Spinners

Rohit Sharma has been named captain and Shubman Gill as vice-captain. Apart from this, India included Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav in the team to strengthen their spin attack. Of these, except Kuldeep Yadav, the other three players also play their role as batsmen.

When Rohit was asked about these spinners during the press conference, he said that he is very satisfied with the selection of these players and there is no doubt about their role.

Rohit said, “Spinners make the team deep not only in bowling but also in batting. Unfortunately, we don’t have too many fast bowling all-rounders, but you want to make your batting as deep as you can, as well as have high-quality bowling.

” Rohit further said, “These players are not only spin bowling all-rounders, but they can also bat and bowl. I am very satisfied that they have played their role brilliantly for some time now. When these players get a place in the team, it makes the team a deep and strong team.

We have bowlers like off-spinner (Washington Sundar), left-arm spinners (Axar Patel and Jadeja) and Kuldeep Yadav in our team.” Rohit also said that all these spinners have been selected to meet the needs of the team and they can cover all the bases.
