SA-W Defeats AU-W to Reach T20 World Cup Final

SA-W team made it to the finals by defeating AU-W by 8 wickets in the first semi-final match. AU-W team is the strongest team in women’s cricket. AUS-W has won the title 6 times. AU-W has performed well in this tournament. They reached the semi-finals by winning all four matches of the group stage. But in the semi-final match, SA-W defeated AU-W and knocked them out.

AU-W Knocked Out in Semi-Final for the First Time; SA-W Advances After Bosch’s Brilliant Knock

AU-W team batted first in this match and scored 134 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. The team’s wicketkeeper and opening batsman Beth Mooney scored the highest 44 runs. Due to the injury of the team’s regular captain and experienced batsman Alyssa Healy, Grace Harris was sent to open but she returned to the pavilion cheaply. After this, captain Tahila McGrath took charge of the team scoring 27 runs and Ellyse Perry added 31 runs to take them to a fighting total.

AU-W has lost in the semi-final for the first time in the T20 World Cup. The second semi-final match of the ICC T20 World Cup will be played between NZ-W and WI-W tomorrow. WI-W reached to the semi-finals by defeating EN-W. The team that manages to win this match will face South Africa in the final. WI-W previously won the T20 World Cup in 2016.
