Sanju Samson Reflects on Missing T20 World Cup Final

Disappointment Before the Toss
In the interview, Sanju gave his opinion and said, “It was the morning of the final. I was getting a chance to play in the match. I was asked to be ready. I was all set to play the final. But before the toss it was decided that there would be no change in the playing XI.
Samson further said, “When this thing came to light, there was a bit of disappointment but I thought no problem, this happens. At the same time, Rohit bhai came to me during the warm-up and he talked to me. Rohit bhai explained to me why he took such a decision.”

Sanju further said about Rohit, “Rohit bhai explained to me in his way. I told him again that yes I understand..you go and play the match. We will talk about this after winning the match.”
After this, Rohit left but after a minute he came back and told me, “You are talking a lot about me in your mind, I feel like..you are not happy.”

Sanju said during the interview that, I felt a little sorry that I could not play the final under Rohit bhai’s captaincy. One thing I liked was that in a big match like the final, Rohit bhai talked to me before the toss. At that time I came to know that this guy had something different to say. ”
