New Zealand’s Star Batsman Kane Williamson to Miss Second Test
New Zealand surprised everyone by defeating India in the first Test match played in Bengaluru. This was New Zealand’s first Test win in India after 36 years. The Black Caps team was very happy with this victory and was full of confidence about the second Test match. But suddenly it has got a shock. The team’s star batsman will not be able to play in the second Test match starting on 24 October in Pune. This batsman is Kane Williamson.
If the New Zealand team wins the second match, then this series will also be in its name. New Zealand will not have a better chance than this. This team will give it all to win the second Test match. However, the absence of the star batsman will weaken the New Zealand team a bit.

Coach Confirms Williamson’s Absence
Williamson did not play in the first Test match either. He has a groin problem and it has not fully healed yet. Team coach Gary Stead has said that Williamson is improving but will not be able to play in the second match. Stead has expressed hope that Williamson will return from the third Test match to be played in Mumbai.
Stead said, “We are looking at Kane Williamson. He is going in the right direction, but he is not 100 percent fit. We hope to improve further in the coming days. Hopefully, he will be available in the third Test match. We want to give him as much time as he needs to recover.”
