BCCI fines Rajasthan Royals’ Sanju Samson for umpire dispute
During IPL 2024, BCCI took a big action against Rajasthan Royals Captain Sanju Samson. Rajasthan Royals played against Delhi Capitals on 7th May. In this match, Sanju Samson was seen arguing with the umpires. He looked very angry after his wicket. BCCI has taken action on this behavior of Sanju Samson.
In such a situation, BCCI has now imposed a fine of 30% of the match fee on Samson for disagreeing with the umpire’s decision. Earlier, a similar fine was imposed on Virat Kohli also

In the match against Delhi Capitals, Sanju Samson was out after scoring 86 runs on 46 balls. Samson hit 8 fours and 6 sixes in this inning. But he was caught out in the 16th over. He hit a big shot on the ball of Mukesh Kumar but Shai Hope standing on the boundary line caught it and ended Sanju Samson’s innings. The third umpire declared him out. But after being out, he was seen arguing with the umpires.

BCCI Press Release:
BCCI has issued a press release and fined Sanju Samson. Press Release BCCI said that Rajasthan Royals Captain Sanju Samson has been fined 30 percent of his match fee for violating the IPL Code of Conduct during the 56th match of IPL 2024 against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. Samson has committed a Level 1 offense under Section 2.8 of the IPL Code of Conduct. He has confessed to the crime. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the match officials’ decision is final and binding.
Virat Kohli’s Previous Fined Umpire Dispute:
Earlier, Virat Kohli has also been fined for arguing with the umpires. Virat Kohli was seen arguing with the umpires during the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was out on a full toss ball. Virat said that this ball is above the waist. But the umpire declared him out. He then argued with the umpires before returning to the pavilion. Hence, BCCI fined Virat Kohli 50% of his match fee.
